Bakuchiol is a powerful antioxidant that helps improve the appearance of fine lines, pigmentation, skin texture and overall firmness of the skin.
A blend of 1% Bakuchiol in Kalahari melon seed oil, this face oil balances and softens skin without leaving any greasy residue on the skin. Lightweight and quick-absorbing.

Although it's been used in Ayurvedic treatments for centuries, this botanical ingredient is a relatively new kid on the block in the western skincare world- and it's been described as a game-changer.
A double-blind study of volunteers using either bakuchiol or retinol found that both groups saw a significant reduction in wrinkle surface area and hyperpigmentation, with no statistical difference between the two compounds. However, the retinol group reported more scaling and stinging. (Source: British Journal of Dermatology)
Pronounced back-ooh-chee-all, it's suitable for those that can't tolerate retinol.
Genuine Bakuchiol
There is only one type of clinically-proven bakuchiol under the trade name Sytenol®. We've sourced our Bakuchiol directly from the official supplier - Sytheon - and we use 1%, which is the recommended amount for best results.

Citrullus vulgaris seed oil (melon seed oil)
Bakuchiol (Sytenol ®)
A couple years ago I started to get painful breakouts, largely around jaw- think they are hormonal. This is the only thing I found that made them better and prevented more without drying the skin. Can’t recommend highly enough
Unlike other 1% Bakuchiol oil I have tried there isn’t the strong almost petrol like smell, huge plus. No irritation and it has a lovely texture. I won’t buy the full size as my skin is dry and the watermelon seed base oil is too light for me so I find I have to use a lot. I will give the Bakuchiol + Vit C a go as that one also has raspberry seed oil in it so may be richer. But it would be great for more combination/oil skin.
I've been using this oil for a couple of weeks. I like the fact that there are only two ingredients and the bakuchiol is at a clinically active concentration. So far, my skin is softer and less dry. It's too early to say if it's effective like retinol but I haven't had any adverse reactions using it twice a day.
